John's Teething

and is really pathetic looking.  Especially when nothing will comfort him.  In case you are wondering why it looks like he is bleeding, he has really chapped lips right now and they cracked.

Color Transfer Science

This one seems pretty self explanatory...color a paper towel with different markers and stick it in water.  Watch as the colors bleed up the towel to see what inks were used.

This one involved water transferring from one glass to the next, eventually having two glasses with the same water level.  But apparently our paper towels were TOO absorbent as it took all afternoon for this one to work.  And the colors didnt blend too well either.  Next time I'd use napkins to see if it goes faster.

Kitchen Organized

After getting the basement room organized a little, I started in on my kitchen.  I rearranged the pantry system,
switched cabinets on pretty much everything,
 cleared out the junk,
hid the school books (in what I'd been using as a pantry),
and cleaned up the general appearance of my workspace.  All of this organization makes for a happy mama, which in turn produces happy kiddos, so let's hope I can keep it this way!

 Action shot.

And a shot of daddy having a soda, or maybe it was a beer, who knows.

A sleepover

A good friend of mine's dad was in the hospital suddenly and her kids were getting bored hanging out in the waiting area.  So I told her to send them over...
We made (and ate) marshmallow snowmen.  We ate pizza and brownies.

When her dad took a turn for the worse, I told her to leave the kids here.  They all slept on the floor in the basement and got a huge kick out of it.

We even took all 6 kids to church the next morning...they were the most well behaved they have ever been in church.
