Bubble Bath

Here is our first bubble bath. Daddy put the bubbles in before Rose got in, she thought it was great fun. As you can see she loves her bath time with Daddy.

Adventures at the Amish Market

Friends

We went to the Lloyd's for dinner the other night and Rose and Helena sat on Annie's lap for this shot. Helena is almost exactly a year older than Rose. Can you imagine Rose being this big?

This is Rose's friend, John Thomas, from church. He is a month older than her, but is much bigger! They like to grab at each other, it is pretty funny to watch.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We went to a St. Patty's Day dinner party at our church on Saturday night. It was lots of fun and Rose was the center of attention. She wore shamrock baby legs Nana made from some women's socks (great for diaper changes!) and a green dress from her GG Mom-mom. We were all matching, so I had someone take our picture.

Playing

She likes to grab things and shake them. Then throw them. So we have started attaching her toys to her with one of those pacifier holders. This rattle she can't seem to shake loose as easily.

Trying it out

I borrowed a baby carrier to see if Rose and I liked it. Here she is seeing if the back position is good. Since we have been using it, she likes to hang out in the front position (and fall asleep!).

Sleep tight

After falling asleep on me, I had to put her down so I could get the door. She generally sleeps on her back, but will stay asleep longer on her stomach. She just tucked her legs up and under. How cute!

Baby Gap?

For some reason this shot reminds me of recent Baby Gap commercials, with the denim in the background and Rose wearing only white cotton...anyone else? Besides that, she was just too darn cute in just her onesie not to take the picture.

Old Time Style...

Doesn't this hat we got her (since she has outgrown all her baby hats) look like a 1920's flapper style hat? Now all she needs is a little flapper dress and she is set! Had to take it in sepia...

Mommy's Favorite Outfit

I love this outfit. I saw the shirt on a clearance rack and had to have it, even though she would outgrow it before she was able to wear it w/o a onesie underneath. Then I had to find pants to match. The shirt has gold thread through it, and little zoo animals parading across the front.

St. Valentine's Day

Not sure if you can see them or not, but her shirt has hearts on it! Not hard to dress a baby girl in pink for V-day.

So I couldn't resist taking pictures of Rose these last couple of days. But I thought I would mix it up a little and try some of the cool settings on my camera. Here are the results.

Too lazy to hold it with her hands, Rose decided to just chew on this rattle. This would be the shot that got me started taking pictures.

This is a cool color accent featur that will make everything black and white except for the color you pick. Pretty neat huh? I am going to try it with pink soon.

A New Toy!

Well, at least new this month. She has lots of fun with it and it lets mommy get some baby free time to take care of stuff! Gotta love that. She really likes the lion and grabs it all the time. I think if you turn the volume up you can hear her talking to it.

Got sick and it's been a while!

Sorry for the delay in posting pictures. I got the 24 hour bug, so I was out of commission for a little while and then it took me a couple days to fully recover. Also, we had to come down from the holidays! Here are some of the latest and greatest.

Concentration

Rose has been sitting in this chair since the first week home, but today was the first time I saw her concentrating on the toys hanging above her. I couldn't get a good shot of her batting at them, but she was. The one in the middle is a rattle and it surprises her everytime she hits it. Too cute...

Rose went to see Santa the other day and we dressed her up in this adorable outfit. Doesn't she look just like a doll? We have a few other holiday outfits, so they will all get their turn with all the Christmas events coming up.
