Finally...

The snow kept daddy home, so he worked from home!

Oranges

Funny story:
Rose has been really into the clementines ('oranges') that are out this time of year, so I thought I would try a real orange the other day. I cut it up in slices and showed her how to eat it off the peel. Then we were talking about the fruit and I told her it would help get rid of her runny nose. So what did she do? Stuck the orange up her nose!

It is reminiscent of my girlfriend's recent carrot story found here: http://lloydbabyblog.blogspot.com/2010/01/cute-carrot-conversation.html

SNOW!

So it started snowing on Friday at lunch time and didn't stop until Saturday at dinner time. Dan and I are debating if it is a total of two or two & a half feet of snow. I lean towards more, he says less. As you can see we were only able to make one path out to the sidewalk; the snow was so heavy and we didn't really have anywhere to put the rest of the snow anyway. Hopefully Dan can get the car cleaned off today and maybe we can get out of here to a friends going away/Super Bowl party.

Everday Activities

I finally relented on the playdough and Rose is having a blast with it.

They both fell asleep after church on the way to Panera, then proceeded to sleep through breakfast. Ah peaceful.

More dance class, a new leotard that fits much better!

Christmas Day (before Mass)

Catchup Posts

Waiting to go upstairs to open presents.
Opening the prized possession...her doll house. She asks everyday for someone to play with her.
Daddy and James exhausted after a long day!
The next day at James' baptism. His godparents are good friends of ours, the Marcinaks'.

The Blizzard of '09 (Dec 19)

Trying to get out to shovel...this is our front stoop, halfway through!

Here is our backyard the next morning when it finally stopped snowing...almost two feet by my guess!

A first bath and a BIG helper!

James didn't really like his first bath but his second went much better. As you can see, he was much calmer if Rose was near by.

Rose is such a big helper these days. She is even putting the silverware away from the dishwasher. Cleaning is her specialty around the kitchen...of course she is really good at making a mess first!

Holiday Overload

Hi All, I know I have been delinquent in posting this month, so I will post some backlog over the next day or so as time on the computer allows! And yes, everyone got the baby question right, but they DO look like brother and sister.

Belly Paintings

We got our bellies painted late last week, just like I did with Rose. It is two baby feet with a henna meets tie dye effect. The bottom shot was one of those artsy things you could do with the camera. Rose also wanted her belly done, so she got a heart! Thanks Arla.
