Couldn't keep James off the kiddie slides, too bad he isn't taller, he would have loved the big slides. We go every summer since there is a free coupon in the kids summer reading coupon book. They look forward to it so much that we went back after naps since we had wrist bands on.

Beach Weekend
John spent the day with us...of course in the shade. There was a nice breeze so he was comfy. He did a great job taking naps on the beach.
James spent a lot of time flinging sand around, but having fun doing it.
He didn't do such a good job taking naps on the beach...only 20 minutes!
Rose spent quite some time riding waves in (they had already crashed) but she was really good at it.

4-H Fair
We went to the 4-H Fair and Carnival.
But don't worry, we didn't actually see any animals other than the carousel horses!
But man was it hot out there!
Some cotton candy to end the day.

Lazy days of summer
The kids were bored, and had a lot of energy. But I was too tired to round everything up and go to the pool. So I set them loose in the backyard with the hose. Then when they bored of that, I gave them the chalk since I had read somewhere that chalk and water made a kind of pastels effect. Not sure if that happened, but they had fun.

Vacation Bible School
These last few weeks, Rose has spent her mornings at Vacation Bible School. There were two in the area that aren't too far from the house so we did both of them. Since I am not certified to work with kids in the diocese yet, James, John, and I went to the movies, did errands, and played at playgrounds while Rose was having fun. Each of them did a little presentation at the end, so she was up performing the songs they learned.
