We went to a Lunch Bunch at the county library today in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday. He would be 107 years old today. Just so we are clear - I don't want to be "that mom" that the other moms despise - all I did was print off a piece of paper that said Thing 1 and Thing 2, cut them out and scotch taped them to the kids backs so they wouldn't pull them off. The whole not pulling them off thing didn't really work out, they were still only on for 10 minutes.
It was a cute event. The librarian dressed up as the Cat in the Hat and they had cupcakes at the end. We also jumped on bubble wrap for "Hop on Pop", which she oddly did NOT read. Anyway, Rose had fun and James got into stuff. Good times had by all. Oh and Rose decided she wanted to be Thing 2, even though she was the older child.
